Well, I'll say this about the Chinese, they're not stupid. The first cars off the production line might be lemons, but give them a year or two, and they'll be a threat to the US car makers. I hope by now they've sat back and watched as Yugo and Daewoo failed, and have learned a thing or two from Hyundai on what it takes to penetrate the US market (even if it takes two tries).
Based on what I've learned as a supplier to a few Chinese engine companies, they will need to raise their reliability/serviceability targets to be successful.
But you are right - they'll figure it out.

:lol:Mr. Anton Peterka along with his team, made his '85 Yugo 45, using wood and coal for fuel. It's not a new technology, 125 years old. The process is based on incomplete combustion of wood: due to lack of air, gases are created: carbon monoxide, the main fuels, hydrogen and methane. That mixture of gases is as flammable as gasoline fumes. To get the car moving, it is necessary to "fill it up with wood".
